Latin America's mobile gaming enthusiasts have been tapping their feet to the rhythm of various dance games on the Android platform. Based on data provided by Sensor Tower, the first quarter of 2024 has shown some interesting trends for the top 5 dance games in the region.
Just Dance Now, published by Ubisoft Entertainment, showed a strong start in January with downloads peaking at 40K and weekly active users reaching nearly 70K. However, there was a noticeable decline across the following months, with downloads dropping to 20K and active users dipping to around 46K by the end of March. The revenue trend followed a similar pattern, starting at 16K USD in the first week of January and descending to approximately 12K USD by the last week of March.
Cheerleader Run 3D by Supersonic Studios LTD, despite having no revenue, saw its downloads start at 11K and fluctuate over the quarter, ending with a notable rise to over 11K in the last week. Weekly active users started at around 17K and, after some fluctuations, saw an increase to over 17K in the final week of March.
Coco Play By TabTale's Ice Skating Ballerina Life, also with negligible revenue, experienced a steady level of downloads, hovering around 4K each week, and active users remained consistent with a slight decrease from around 8K to 6K from January to March.
Pole Star, another title from CrazyLabs LTD, had its highest number of downloads at the beginning of February with around 13K, but saw a drop to just over 2K by the end of March. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, peaking at 17K in late February before falling to approximately 6K by the quarter's end.
Lastly, Dance Clash: Ballet vs Hip Hop, also from Coco Play By TabTale, showed modest revenue with a gentle ebb and flow over the quarter, ending slightly lower than it started. Downloads saw a spike in mid-January at 1.8K but then settled to a consistent level of just over 100 each week. Active users started at around 34K and ended the quarter with a slight decline at roughly 25K.
